Lauren McAfee (Ph.D. in progress, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is founder and visionary of Stand for Life, and serves as ministry director for ministry investments at Hobby Lobby. Lauren is the author of Only One Life (Zondervan, 2018), Not What You Think (Zondervan, 2019), Legacy Study (B&H, 2019) and Beyond Our Control (Thomas Nelson, 2023). Lauren holds a Master of Arts in pastoral counseling and theological studies, as well as a Master of Theology. She and her husband Michael live in Oklahoma City and enjoy reading and traveling. Together they have two daughters, Zion and Zara, through the blessing of adoption.

Lauri attended Oklahoma State University, then moved to the Dallas area, where she has lived for most of her life. She has three children, ages 30, 29, and 15. She got involved with CEF Dallas in 2004, and became Director of the Dallas Chapter six years ago. She has faced many struggles in life, mostly due to choices made with a poor understanding of who God is and how much He loves her. Because of this, she wants to help children know basic truths about Him so they can make good choices and live the life that God intends for them.

She has devoted her life to educate Christians about their Biblical responsibility to stand with their Jewish brethren and the State of Israel. As an accomplished media veteran, Laurie has been part of over 500 film and video productions as both on-screen talent and producer. With over twenty years experience in private enterprise, grassroots mobilization and community leadership, Laurie is an accomplished advocate who has represented issues related to families, women, children, faith and country. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Laurie’s career faced a turning point on 9/11 when she decided to focus her media and lobbying expertise on American security and Israel. Laurie has also been seen and heard by millions of people on Christian television and radio appearing on over 120 TV and radio programs in 2014, including Fox and Friends and the Hannity Show. Her articles have been published on WND.com and FrontPage Magazine. Most recently, Laurie is spearheading the formation of a coalition to expose the anti-Semitic, anti- American, anti-Israel, and anti-Christian content in all K-12 textbooks. The coalition will identify flawed textbook review procedures and recommend methods for local communities to review students’ textbooks and propose corrective legislation.

She is a gifted teacher who loves leading women to faith in Christ, teaching God’s Word and helping women experience the freedom and life that is in Christ. Bush during the 2000 Presidential campaign. Dr. Lindsey also served as a Governor of the Federal Reserve System from 1991 to 1997, as Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Economic Policy during the first Bush Administration, and as Senior Staff Economist for Tax Policy at the Council of Economic Advisers during President Reagan’s first term. Dr. Lindsey served five years on the Economics faculty of Harvard University and held the Arthur F. Burns Chair for Economic Research at the American Enterprise Institute. From 1997 until 2001 he was Managing Director of Economic Strategies, a global consulting firm. Dr. Lindsey earned his A.B. Magna Cum Laude from Bowdoin College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
