Commissioner Buckingham’s family were among the first settlers to Texas seven generations ago, and that tough, independent, pioneer spirit is deeply rooted in her personality. True to her Texas roots, her commitment to service began early, serving as a volunteer firefighter, and attending the Texas A&M Fire School. She is also an avid hunter, outdoorswoman, and steward of the land. She made history in 2016 as the first woman elected to the Texas State Senate from Travis County. Without slowing down, she made history again in 2022 when elected as the 29th, and state’s first female Commissioner of the General Land Office, Texas’ oldest state agency. Dawn came from humble roots—growing up on a ranch near the Texas coast and then moving to Central Texas. She has never settled for less than her dreams. She lived at home, working two jobs to pay her own way through college at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating Magna Cum Laude and debt-free. It was during college that she met the love of her life and husband of 31 years, Ed Buckingham. Dawn and Ed both received their medical degrees from the UT Medical Branch at Galveston. They have two children. Dawn became a successful Oculoplastic Surgeon. Her commitment to service and recognition for her work has allowed her to hold leadership positions in local, state, and national medical organizations. Dawn has risen above her circumstances, becoming a self-made small business owner employing Texans, serving others in her profession and as an elected official. She has always given back to her community. As your Land Commissioner, Dr. Dawn Buckingham brings a lifetime of experience to the office. She is committed to helping Texans after a disaster, supporting Texas energy, ensuring that every child in Texas receives a high-quality public education, serving Texas Veterans, and securing the border to keep our communities safe.

Debbie D’Souza was born in Caracas, Venezuela. The Venezuela she grew up in was much like America ~ but that has changed dramatically, and is now a Socialist country. She refuses to see America follow its path. As a warning to Americans, she created a presentation to show the path that America is taking by repeating many of the same policies that destroyed Venezuela. She is an advocate for Conservative Latinos and hopes to educate them in the importance of voting for a party that reflects the principles of the majority of Hispanics. She has a unique perspective because of her dual nationalities reflecting both her Mexican/American heritage from her mother’s side as well as her Venezuelan roots from her father’s. Debbie has been singing since the tender age of four and her love for music continues to this day. She started singing in her birth country of Caracas, Venezuela in a weekly-televised variety show called "Las Voces Blancas". In her teen years in the Rio Grande Valley, she continued to sing in school choir, church, weddings, and was the lead singer in a jazz band. Debbie also sang radio jingles for some Rio Grande Valley businesses, which included Hidalgo Savings and Broadway Hardware. Mrs. D’Souza is also a recording artist, and former Worship Leader. Her voice can be heard at the end of Hillary’s America singing God Bless America and can be seen in Death of a Nation singing O America. Debbie is married to Conservative best selling author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza . Together they have 3 grown children.

Debbie Georgatos is a lawyer, political consultant, conservative activist and author, whose first book, Ladies, Can We Talk? America Needs Our Vote! encourages women to embrace liberty-upholding conservative solutions to the challenges America faces. Her book and book talks inspire women to step up and take a prominent leadership role in the American political conversation, and to recognize that they have tremendous power to shape America’s future. Debbie brings to America’s political dialogue a unique mix of lawyerly logic, patriotic passion, and a friendly and personal tone, and she proves in a variety of policy arenas that women, and all people, fare better under free-market and limited government solutions to all of the challenges America faces. She connects the dots between the “big government will take care of everything” politics of the American Left, and the crushing of individual opportunity, incentive, achievement and ultimately, happiness.
