Wybo N.
Coordinator of Bible Distribution into Closed Countries - Coordinator of Persecution Preparedness Training at Frontlines International
Wybo is Dutch and is married with two children. He has a degree in Modern History. He began his career at Open Doors International in 1985 as Researcher of the Soviet Union Department then Director of Communications Eastern Europe & the Soviet Union. Then as Director of Research, he created the World Watch List (first released in January 1993, still widely used today). The World Watch List ranks the top 50 countries where persecution of Christians is most severe. The 2024 World Watch List shows that 365 million Christians live in places wherethey experience high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faithin Christ.

Though the years, Wybo directed Open Doors’ work in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2014, he joined the Executive Leadership Team and directed the entire Field Ministry. In 2019, he returned to his roots as Senior Director of Global Research and Innovations.

Since 2020, when he joined Frontlines International, he has been the Coordinator of Bible Distribution into Closed Countries as well as the Coordinator of Persecution Preparedness Training Projects for Churches in the Western World. It is vital that our brothers and sisters have enough Bibles in various languages and formats, training in the faith and other resources to be solidly grounded inthe Word and to be able to share the Good News with those who are seeking. Wybo’s love for our Lord Jesus Christ shows in his unparalleled commitment to his desire to strengthen and protect the Persecuted Church worldwide and to help prepare Christians in the USA and Europe for marginalization andpersecution in our own countries. Like Brother Andrew, Wybo has many stories related to this work. Prayer is needed for him and for God’s guidance as Frontlines International expands into more risky situations to get the Word of God and whatever help is requested into the hands of suffering believers inChrist.
