Ted Edwards
National Director - Valor Vets
Ted was raised in dysfunctional and poor conditions by his mother and grandmother on a small farm in Western, NC. He joined the Marines after high school to fulfill a dream and to serve his country. In 1988 Ted was almost killed in a bar fight, and that brought him to faith in Christ. As Ted was being discipled, he felt the call to ministry. Over the past 27 years, he has served in several different capacities. He started out as a Student Pastor and then as a missionary in Asia where he managed multiple domestic and international projects in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child, and The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. In 2008, Ted and his wife Christine began working with Cru and developed and managed the volunteer program in the U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps and the United States Marine Corps at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and San Diego impacting an estimated 15,000 Marines annually. In 2016, Ted and Christine began serving as the Southeast Regional Coaches for Valor, developing and coaching ministry teams among ROTC cadets (future military officers) and veterans on college campuses. Ted now serves as the National Director for ValorVets. The mission is to transform campus veterans into Christ-centered life long multiplying disciples on every campus, in every nation, to help fulfill the Great Commission. Ted and Christine were married in 1990 and live in the upstate of SC. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
