Nathan Shackelford serves as Associate General Counsel and Director of the Future of Faith and Freedom(F3) initiative at First Liberty Institute.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Nathan earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Sociology. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where he concentrated on contract law and business formation.
Nathan played a key role in founding First Liberty’s Future of Faith and Freedom (F3)initiative, a dynamic program dedicated to educating and equipping communities of young professionals across the nation to defend their religious liberty rights. In his role as Associate General Counsel, Nathan also handles a range of internal legal matters, helping advance First Liberty’s mission from the inside out.
A nationally recognized speaker, Nathan regularly travels across the country to speak on issues related to religious freedom, engaging audiences with clarity, conviction, and purpose.

Shaun Frederickson is a speaker, writer, and content creator. Simon P. Kennedy is a Senior Research Fellow at Alphacrucis University College and at the University of Queensland Law School. He is also a Non-resident Fellow at the Danube Institute in Budapest. He is a husband to Hayley and father of 6 children, and lives in South East Queensland in Australia.
