David Curry
CEO - Open Doors USA
Open Doors USA President and CEO David Curry advocates on behalf of those who are persecuted for their Christian faith. In this role, he leads the organization in strengthening and equipping Christians living under or facing restriction, while encouraging them to remain strong in their faith under harrowing circumstances. For nearly 60 years, Open Doors has worked in the world's most oppressive countries, empowering Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs. Open Doors equips persecuted Christians in more than 60 countries by providing Bibles, training, programs to help women and children who have been marginalized because of their beliefs and status in society, and helping to restore communities that have been destroyed because of faith. Curry joined Open Doors in August 2013. He was previously CEO at The Rescue Mission and president at the Foundation for Grace, an organization that provides leadership and management training to nonprofit groups in South America. Curry is the author of four books: First Aid for Enablers, It’s Not How Far You Fall It’s How High You Bounce, God Plays Golf and Change Your World!.
World Watch List
This morning at the National Press Club, Open Doors released its annual World Watch List, a ranking of the top 50 countries where it is most dangerous and difficult to be a Christian. Islamic extremism continued to be the primary driving force behind the expansion of persecution, with its rise being the lead generator of persecution for 35 out of the 50 nations on the list. Its two hubs are in the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa, regions where persecution has risen to a level akin to ethnic cleansing.

“The levels of exclusion, discrimination and violence against Christians is unprecedented, spreading and intensifying,” said David Curry, president and CEO of Open Doors USA. “Christians, longing to stay in their home countries, are being forced to flee for their lives and for their children’s lives. The 2016 Open Doors World Watch List demonstrates that persecution isn't just a Christian problem; it's a global problem.”

More than 7,000 Christians were killed worldwide for faith-related reasons in the reporting period, an increase of nearly 3,000 compared to the 2015 Open Doors World Watch List. (This excludes North Korea, and some of Syria and Iraq, where accurate records do not exist.) More than 2,400 churches were attacked or damaged, which is more than double the number from last year’s list.

Great News for America: The Constitution, Freedom and Prosperity are Coming Back!
Great News for America is about the critical presidential election of 2016, which is shaping up to be the most profound presidential election since the critical presidential election of 1896, an event that took place 120 years ago. This book makes ten surprising predictions that are bold and powerful. These are stunning predictions, predictions about America, predictions about the 2016 presidential election, and predictions whose impact go far beyond this election. Indeed, this book predicts some historic events for America that will take place before, during and after the 2016 presidential election. Those events will positively impact America for decades to come. Great News for America provides insights into America, into its political history, and into its voters and their deeply-held beliefs on morality and freedom. It also clearly shows how voters in America are ultimately in charge; how they expect their political parties and political institutions to act; and how voters will decisively make parties and politicians accountable to themselves.
