He holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Business Administration from High Point University, and a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining Summer Term, Dr. Bumin served as an Assistant Dean of The Graduate School at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and, later, as the inaugural Dean of Graduate Studies at Stonehill College. He also held tenured appointments as a full professor at both institutions. Dr. Bumin is a prolific researcher in the fields of American public opinion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Christian-Jewish relations. He also specializes in ethnic conflict and post-communist judicial politics.
