After leaving the Reagan White House, Bauer became President of the Family Research Council and a Senior Vice President of Focus on the Family.
Bauer took his pro-family, pro-life message across the country during the 2000 Republican presidential primaries and debates.
Today, Bauer serves as Chairman of Campaign for Working Families PAC, dedicated to electing conservative candidates to Congress, and as President of American Values, an educational non-profit organization. He writes a weekly column at Human Events and co-hosts a weekend talk show on Sirius/XM Radio.
In 1973, Bauer received his law degree from Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C. He is married to the former Carol Hoke and lives in Virginia. Gary and Carol have three grown children.
Though the years, Wybo directed Open Doors’ work in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2014, he joined the Executive Leadership Team and directed the entire Field Ministry. In 2019, he returned to his roots as Senior Director of Global Research and Innovations.
Since 2020, when he joined Frontlines International, he has been the Coordinator of Bible Distribution into Closed Countries as well as the Coordinator of Persecution Preparedness Training Projects for Churches in the Western World. It is vital that our brothers and sisters have enough Bibles in various languages and formats, training in the faith and other resources to be solidly grounded inthe Word and to be able to share the Good News with those who are seeking. Wybo’s love for our Lord Jesus Christ shows in his unparalleled commitment to his desire to strengthen and protect the Persecuted Church worldwide and to help prepare Christians in the USA and Europe for marginalization andpersecution in our own countries. Like Brother Andrew, Wybo has many stories related to this work. Prayer is needed for him and for God’s guidance as Frontlines International expands into more risky situations to get the Word of God and whatever help is requested into the hands of suffering believers inChrist.
