We were told by our intellectual betters on the left and in the mainstream media that it was a “solemn” day in Washington, D.C. Wednesday as House Democrats prepared to line up in order to enthusiastically vote to impeach President Trump.
But at the same time Democrats like Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI) and others “somberly” laughed all the way to the House floor do their “solemn” duty, Republicans in the Senate were conducting very important business of their own.
Confirming more of Trump’s judicial nominees.
As I wrote last week, Sen. Majority Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is not messing around when it comes to judicial confirmations, with perhaps the most shining example of him keeping his promises by way of continuing to transform the 9th Circuit, which conservatives and Republicans for years have called the “9th Circus” because of the number of liberal judges appointed to it by Democrats.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) took to the Twitter machine last night in the aftermath of the House’s vote to impeach President Trump in order to provide a timely reminder of what was continuing to take place in the Senate as articles of impeachment were being debated and voted on in the House:

Today in the Senate we worked on things that matter to Americans.
We continued filling vacancies in the judiciary with good judges.
Tomorrow we will confirm more judges & a deputy Sec of State & we will fund the govt for rest of the fiscal year.5,030Twitter Ads info and privacy

That’s mighty darned impressive. And assuming House Speaker Pelosi continues to be wishy washy on whether or not to send the articles of impeachment over to McConnell in the Senate, guess what’s likely to continue to happen?
