Penna’s interest in conservative politics and the issues that affect the family began when she was a child working on political campaigns with her parents. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in International Relations. She spent 8 years in the banking industry.

She then ran for Congress herself in 2018 becoming the only woman to make the Republican Runoff Ballot in Texas out of 6 open seats.
It was after this race that God called her to start mobilizing the Church. God has been using her over 20 years of Christian ministry experience and political experience to lead this national ministry today. Christians Engaged has over 850,000 Christians in their voter mobilization communication system reaching all 50 states, has had over 2,500 Christians take one of their long form classes on civics and biblical worldview, they had had programs in 190 churches, and they are strategic ministry partners with over 150 national ministries or local churches. They are just getting started.
