Dr. Michael Caparrelli heard the gospel for the first time as a 17-year-old at a Juvenile Detention Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon his release, he committed his life to Jesus Christ. In 2009, Dr. Caparrelli along with a team of people planted a church in Rhode Island known as Sacred Exchange Fellowship. This church was a hospital for the spiritually sick, attracting hundreds of people with addictions, criminal backgrounds and mental illnesses. The church lived out its mission stated in Isaiah 61:3. Dr. Caparrelli resigned from pastoring in 2009, handing the torch over to one his trusted elders. Since then, he has traveled the entire nation with his message of redemption and restoration from mental illnesses. He speaks in prisons, colleges, churches, and Adult and Teen Challenge Centers. He is the founder of UnMuted, a non-profit organization that gives victims of trauma their voices back. Dr. Caparrelli holds a Bachelors in Bible from Zion Bible College, a Masters in Education from Liberty University and a PhD in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior from Capella University. From April 2022 to July 2023, Dr. Caparrelli conducted a 100-hour, 34 Session, analysis of David Berkowitz, formerly known as the “son of sam.” The analysis focuses upon the mental health factors and demonic influences behind senseless violence. More importantly, the analysis highlights the miraculous transformation of a psychopath. This analysis is now available in a book entitled, Monster Mirror: 100 Hours with David Berkowitz. Dr. Caparrelli authored 5 books that all relate to mental health from a biblical viewpoint - Dr. Jesus, Pen Your Pain into Parables, Surviving Feelings, The Ox and the Ass and Monster Mirror. He is also a professor of behavioral science courses at Northpoint Bible College in Haverhill, MA.

In a career that spans thirty years, Michael Card has recorded over thirty-one albums, authored or coauthored over twenty-four books, hosted a radio program, and written for a wide range of magazines. An award-winning musician and performing artist, he has penned such favorites as "El Shaddai," "Immanuel," and many other songs. He has branched his ministry beyond music and written numerous books, including Scribbling in the Sand, A Fragile Stone, Inexpressible, A Violent Grace, The Parable of Joy, and Sleep Sound in Jesus (a children's book). He has also written the Biblical Imagination Series, with a book and accompanying music CD for each of the four gospels. Michael Johnson returned to SGA as president in May 2017 after previously serving as vice president of advancement from 1996-2004. Michael combines an extensive background in the marketing and advertising field, as well as broad experience in lay church ministry and international missions. Michael’s advertising career began with Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising in New York City, and continuing with the Bloom Agency and then Gray Advertising. Prior to his return to SGA, Michael served for several years as senior vice president of the highly respected firm Douglas Shaw and Associates in Naperville, Illinois. Michael’s unique experiences in the business world, coupled with his years of dedication to Christian missions, especially in the countries of the former Soviet Union, have prepared him to lead SGA’s ministries forward in the challenging days ahead.
