Prior to becoming President & CEO of The Hope Center, Scott served as the President of Neltex Sports, a growing company that owns and operates various sports and entertainment-related properties. Before Neltex Sports, Scott served as longtime President of the Frisco RoughRiders (Double A – Texas Rangers), one of the most successful operations in Minor League Baseball. Scott earned his MBA at Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management, where he quadruple majored. He also has a History degree from Texas A&M University. For five years he helped run a historic Christian family resort, CAMP-of-the-WOODS, in Upstate New York. While there he created the LIFT Program, a discipleship and leadership development ministry aimed at gap year students. Scott started his career at the Dallas Mavericks where he worked in the sales department for two years. Scott Stripling is the Director of Excavations and Chief Archaeologist at Ancient Shiloh from 2017–present and previously directed the excavations at Khirbet el-Maqatir from 2013–2017. He also served as a Director of the Mt. Ebal Dump Salvage, Field Supervisor at the Tall el-Hammam Excavation project, and Supervisor at the Temple Mount Sifting Project. Stripling earned master’s degrees from the University of Texas and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Archaeology and Biblical History from Veritas International University. He serves as Provost and Director of the Archaeological Institute at The Bible Seminary in Katy, Texas. Stripling is a popular speaker and author and frequently appears as a scholar in documentaries and popular media programs. His geographical research focus lies in the Highlands of Israel, across multiple time periods, ranging from the Late Bronze Age to the Early Islamic period. Stripling’s academic articles appear regularly in peer-reviewed journals such as Levant, Palestine Exploration Quarterly, and Near East Archaeological Society Bulletin and popular magazines like Qadmoniot and Bible and Spade. Stripling contributed articles to The Harvest Handbook of Bible Lands (2019) and wrote chapters for Five Views on the Exodus (Zondervan 2021) and Archaeology, John, and Jesus (Eerdman’s 2023). The Trowel and the Truth (Vision 2017) serves as a textbook for several universities. Khirbet el-Maqatir, Volume 2, The Late Hellenistic, Early Roman, and Byzantine Periods (Final Publication) was recently published by Archaeopress. He is a professional member of ASOR and currently serves as president of the Near East Archaeological Society. Scott and his wife, Janet, have four children and five grandchildren.

Dr. Sean McDowell is a gifted communicator with a passion for equipping the church, and in particular young people, to make the case for the Christian faith. He connects with audiences in a tangible way through humor and stories while imparting hard evidence and logical support for viewing all areas of life through a Biblical worldview. Sean is an Assistant Professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Biola University. Sean still teaches one high school Bible class, which helps give him exceptional insight into the prevailing culture so he can impart his observations poignantly to fellow educators, pastors, and parents alike. In 2008 he received the Educator of the Year award for San Juan Capistrano, California. The Association of Christian Schools International awarded Exemplary Status to his apologetics training.
